Friends History

The Friends of the London Playing Fields Foundation was formed to lead the fundraising for the Foundation’s Peter May Appeal. Its success led to the establishment of the Peter May Sports Centre in Waltham Forest.

Since then the Friends have continued their fund-raising activities as well as supporting the Foundation’s efforts to communicate the need to protect London’s playing fields especially by engaging with users of our grounds and with their respective the local communities.

By becoming a Friend of the LPFF you will assist us in achieving this objective and make a vital contribution to the capital’s sporting activities.
