With obesity rising and sports pitches disappearing across London it was great to see how much activity was taking place at our grounds over the summer. At Fairlop Oak and LMPF Redbridge, where we have five cricket pitches, Len Enoch of Wanstead and Snaresbrook CC runs a junior cricket programme.

The Foundation held its biggest annual fundraising event, the Gala Dinner, at the Savoy Hotel on Thursday 15th November. The evening, which was hosted by Vice President Martin Bayfield, kicked off in style with a champagne reception before guests were then treated to a sumptuous meal in the beautiful surroundings of the Lancaster Ballroom.

A new report launched at the House of Commons on 5th September highlights how football can help people with severe mental health conditions have a better quality of life and better health.

Coping Through Football, an innovative initiative that helps people with mental health problems to get their lives back on track, was commended by The FA on reaching its ten year anniversary at a special ceremony at Wembley Stadium on 18th April.
