LPFF at Wembley

Anonymous 26 March 2014

On Saturday 22nd March Saracens took on Harlequins in a match watched by nearly 84,000 people and we were lucky enough to be Saracens Nominated Charity that day. 40 volunteers gave up their Saturday to help promote the charity and raise funds for our work to protect a place to play sport forever.

As well as holding a bucket collection around the stadium, Saracens players wore LPFF t-shirts in the warm up, our logo appeared on the big screen and we had the opportunity to help deliver the match ball, which was handed over by Sochi Gold Medal winning athlete Lizzie Yarnold! We also had a stand where young rugby fans could play hoopla or learn some new skills with our footballistas.

The day was a great success and we raised nearly £1700 through the bucket collection. We would like to thank Saracens for their continuing support and wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season.
