We are delighted to announce the appointment of Chelsea Women’s Manager Emma Hayes OBE as a Vice President. Emma will join an illustrious list of sporting legends including Bob Wilson OBE, Hope Powell CBE, Martin Bayfield and Maggie Alphonsi MBE who support the playing fields cause through their roles as Vice Presidents of London Playing Fields Foundation.
Emma, who last year won our Made in London Award, has a long history with London’s playing fields having grown up in the capital playing at Regents Park and later gaining her UEFA B licence at Douglas Eyre Sports Centre. She is right behind our mission to provide a place a place to play sport forever and appreciates that well managed and maintained playing fields can have a lasting impact on the physical, mental and social health of the communities they serve.
